Massage and Pain Management

Writer's picture: Carine JemiaCarine Jemia

We can all testify to the pain we feel at the end of a long day. Whether it's from standing at work all day, sitting at a desk, driving long hours, carrying the kids, cooking, or any other daily routine, the constant repetition can tire our muscles and cause them to hurt.

Including massage as a part of our monthly routine can greatly help restore the muscles. Massage is known to reduce the pain that comes from our daily lives by increasing circulation, relieving stress and anxiety, relaxing painful muscles and making it easier to fall asleep and stay asleep.

I am personally a huge massage fan not only because I am a massage therapist but because I receive massages constantly to not only help me with pain management but prevention as well. It is very important to talk to your massage therapist and set a schedule for yourself so you are not only getting massages when in pain but as a part of your routine.
